We are looking for both, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to be a part of our Field Service team. Positions are located in our Turku or Vaasa offices.
Responsibilities - Supervise / act as a team leader in the Field Service assignments globally in Wärtsilä engine related customer installations on power plants, shipyards and onboard
- Supervise Field Service activities such as engine overhauls, scheduled maintenances and trouble shooting in the own specific field - Carry out trial runs and testing of complete installations - Check and adjust relevant auxiliary systems - Perform commissioning, start-up and handing over of complete installations - Participate in technical discussions/ negotiations with the customer as well as with the Network Companies - Provide internal and external service work reports and as built documentation - Collect and organise time and expense reports after the completion of the respective works - Report and inform the administrative personnel as required - Participate in the office work as required
Requirements - BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Good knowledge of combustion engines - Good knowledge of maintenance management of large plants and vessels - Skills to manage troubleshooting, commissioning and handing over procedures - Good communication and team work skills - Good command in English, Finnish and / or Swedish; other language skills are an advantage - Willingness to travel and to spend also longer periods abroad
